Gail and I were friends from the time I was 5 years old and moved to Newton. We lived on the same street and walked to Cabot School every day together. She died too young. She was a kind, generous soul who was dealt a lousy hand. Her son is an accomplished orthopedic surgeon whom she would be very proud of. I miss her.
I remember Gail Rosen and Gail Schertzer and myself playing canasta in Gail R's house many an afternoon. We had a lot of laughs together. She was a very sweet person.
