Peter and I were friends since kindergarten. He was a great guy. So sorry he did not make it to the reunion. Very sad to hear of his passing. Life is so tenuous!

I did not meet Peter until high school but knew him well in school.  He was always a classy person.  Rest in peace my friend.

Peter and I have been close friends since 7th grade and it has taken me a few weeks to digest his death. From Mr. Smith's choir classes and Mr. Chamberlain's basketball team at Weeks to the birth of our respective grandchildren, Peter and I have covered much ground together. Except for a year or 2, we never lived geographically close, but we spoke often and never lost touch. Peter's death is a huge loss and I have truly lost one of my closest friends. He will be missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

This is now my third attempt to put on paper my memories of Peter. I am unable to do justice to my thoughts. Somehow we grow up expecting to lose our Paremts, which is tough enough. But we are unprepared when someone who for 7 or 8 years you spent every day with leaves you, it is difficult to put into words. Weeks Jr high, Yhe Red Sox, Homeroom, The Pats, celts, b's, Ted,Lil, Larry, the girlfriends, the break ups , the lunches,The trip across the country for an entire summer...and that is the beginning.

As good luck or bad luck would have it I spoke with Peter the day before he died. 10 seconds into the call, it was as if we were still in building 1 and 50 years had not passed. Since High School, literally hundreds of people have come into my life and out of my life  at lightening speed. I can count on one hand the people since then who really truly matter to me beyond my family, But strangely I  need my other hand and both feet, to count the people in the first 18 years who really matter.  Yes, I will probably see the Sox or Pats win again and see so much more than Peter will see, and after these happen and after I look upward to say to my Mother and  Father  that they missed this. I will now unfortunately, include Peter. My friend..my confidant...my opposite...and again my friend. I hope for once he can stop worrying and is finally at peace. Flip

Beautifully said Flip! He was a great guy. Had he been ill?

Jane,

No not really...just struggling with the complexities of life.

You were always one of his (our) favorites....

Hope you are well and events like this bring back the happy moments we all shared 2000 years ago.

Best,

Flip

I was saddened to hear of  Peter's passing. He was endearing and always had a good word for everyone.

Peter and I were part of a small minority that arrived at NHS via the Mason and Weeks path. He was a devoted sports fan and we relished our time together playing on the Weeks basketball team (George Bloom and Drew O' Malley from that team also went on to NHS). His loss is profoundly felt. Rest in peace.
